On the 18th and 19th of September, we had the pleasure to organize two separate infotrips for a group of bloggers and another group of journalists to the S.E.R.V.E winery, one of our newest clients. Both of the events took place in Ceptura, where our guests had the opportunity to visit the winery, assist to the process of production and packaging of the wine and see how the wine casks are stored and labled. Of course, they were also invited to taste a selection of wines produced by S.E.R.V.E, such as Terra Romana, Cuvee Charlotte, Cuvee Amaury or Cuvee Guy de POIX.
The day started with an one-hour visit to the vineyard, where all the ’’magic’’ of wine production begins. Our guests took part in the harvesting of the grapes, while being walked through all the necessary steps towards turning the fresh fruits into quality wine. Afterwards, we organized a tour of the winery followed by a stum tasting and an interesting discussion with Mihaela TYREL DE POIX, the owner and CEO of S.E.R.V.E.
Nevertheless, the highlight of the day was a wine & food pairing, presented by S.E.R.V.E’s oenologist and a representative of Terra Carpatica catering company. The bloggers and journalist learned how to combine certain dishes with a particular type of wine in order to make their culinary experience a memorable one.
S.E.R.V.E is the first private firm of wines in Romania, founded in 1994 by Guy Tyrel de Poix, in partnership with his wife, Mihaela. After 21 years on the Romanian market, S.E.R.V.E owns 116 hectares of vineyards, the investment exceeding 2.5 million euros. Also, S.E.R.V.E is the first company that produced the dry rosé wine and planted Chardonnay in the Dealu Mare area. The company produces two main types of wine, ’’Terra Romana’’ and ’’Vinul Cavalerului’’, but also some other types, such as Cuvee Charlotte, Cuvee Amaury or Cuvee Guy de POIX, 40% of the production being exported to Canada, USA, Belgium, France or Germany.
