After a night full of awards won at the fifth edition of eTravel Conference 2016, for our clients from the tourism industry and, overall, a year full of exciting projects, time has come for our big reward: our team building trip with the entire Travel Communication team.
Our destination of choice was Vienna, the city of waltz, exquisite coffee shops, great restaurants, inspiring architecture and long lasting history.
Our accommodation was in a historical apartment, having more than 100 years old, being located downtown Vienna, near the City Hall and Parliament Building.
Because a really busy time was about to begin right after our return, we let Vienna and its people surprise and inspire us.
An early morning tour took us to the most important sites of the city center. Walking through the streets of Vienna was an enjoyable experience. Every building, every street, the popular and less popular, welcomed us with amazing architectural details.
We combined the touristy places and tours with local spots and restaurants. The weather was perfect to explore Vienna’s city center and Shonbrunn Palace’s gardens. We’ve fully respected the Viennese rule of “don’t rush unless you have to”. We tasted gladly coffee and apfelstrudel in several coffee shops and enjoyed a great cappuccino, just like locals do.
We were excited by the historical buildings, such as Hofburg Palace, Stephansdom, Schönbrunn Palace, Rathaus, and by the new ones – Hundertwasserhaus.
And because love and quality of life is also measured in what we eat, in Vienna we tried two of the best restaurants in town: Figlmuller, famous for its ‘bigger-than-plate’ schnitzel and Plachutta, famous for its beef soup.
Here is a movie that best explains our trip.
