Israel’s tourism communication campaign “Two Sunny Cities. One Break” charmed thousands of Romanians, Israel being the preferred travel destination for more than 15k Romanian tourists in October. Thus, in October, Romania ranked 6th in the top of the main source markets for the Israel tourism, after huge tourism players as the USA, Russia, France, Germany or the United Kingdom and 5th in Europe, over-passing Poland.
The awarded campaign is meant to promote the new vibe of Jerusalem, the Holy Capital with a history that goes back over 3000 years ago and Tel Aviv, often called the “Nonstop City” or “The City that Never Sleeps”, a vibrant place considered by another famous publication, New York Times Magazine “The Mediterranean Capital of Cool”. Tel Aviv hosted the Eurovision contest in 2019 and each year organizes the biggest pride parade in the region. Jerusalem offers to tourists all over the world unique gastronomic experiences, wine tasting and an enlarged offer of boutique hotels.
In the given context, Israel was awarded the “Coolest Holiday Destination for Romanian Tourists” at the 8th edition of the “100 Cool Brands” Gala organized in mid-November by the prestigious business magazine Forbes, that gave recognition to the most innovative and creative communication campaigns that took place in the past year. The one picking up the Prize this time was Mr. Răzvan Pascu, Managing Partner at Travel Communication Romania, the Marketing, PR and Events Agency in charge of promoting Israel tourism in Romania for the past 2 years.
Israel Ministry of Tourism was awarded alongside brands from all fields such as technology (Google & YouTube), automotive (BMW), jewelry (Rolex), beauty (Chanel) and others.
