Last week, our entire team was involved in organizing a large-scale event for Affidea, our top client from the medical field. For the first time, Affidea Leadership Meeting took place in Bucharest, gathering more than 130 professionals from 13 European countries in the heart of the Romanian capital city.
Between January 19th and 21st, the 130 attendees took part in business conferences, meetings and entertainment activities, all spiced up with traditional Romanian motives and local customs. During the 3 days of the event, there were no less than 10 conference halls at our guests’ disposal, where special meetings of directors, CEOs and CFOs took place.
Entertainment at its finest – A mix of „Little Paris” and latest trends
To give our guests a glimpse of the city’s cultural and historical heritage, guided tours were organized on the streets of Bucharest. They visited the Palace of the Parliament, the Athenaeum, The Revolution Square and many other sightseeing hotspots.
The highlight of the event was the Affidea Awards Gala, which was held in January 20th, at Athenee Palace Hilton Hotel. For this special evening, our clients and their foreign guests were invited to enter the world of Old Bucharest, when arts and culture were flourishing and Bucharest was called Little Paris. This theme was present in every small detail, from the photo corner design, the lighting in the ballroom, the floral arrangements and the wine specialties. After everyone had warmed up, the stage was taken by top Romanian musicians who made all businessmen burst with energy and step on the dancefloor.
The following day, after another series of conferences and meetings, Iconic Food Wine & Design was the next stop for our guests, where they could enjoy a special dinner in an immaculate setting.
An innovative outlook on business events – The mobile application
A mobile application was released for the leadership meeting, where all Affidea leaders could find scheduled meetings and dinner plans, photographs taken during the event, as well as a chatbox where organizers and participants could communicate freely.
Comfort comes first – More than 60 transfers to and from the airport
From the arrival of the first participants, on January 18th, and until the last return flights, everything was prepared in detail in order to ensure a memorable experience for each of them. More than 60 transfers to and from the airport by limousine and minibus were provided and the attendees were also welcomed at Radisson Blu Hotel, regardless of the time of their arrival.
All in all, the event turned out to be a wonderful experience for most participants, as described by attendees themselves, and the months of preparation which our team went through were finally crowned with our guests’ final words: „Awesome event!”
