
Destination Marketing Campaign for the German National Tourist Board
When storytelling meets strategy, Christmas turns into a campaign. This winter, we launched a full-service destination marketing campaign for the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) and the Ministry of Tourism of Germany, bringing the legendary German Christmas Markets closer than ever to Romanian travelers.
From press and PR to online and outdoor visibility, airport activations, and influencer trips, our campaign wrapped the entire experience of Germany’s holiday season into one message: “Stay Longer.”
1. PR & Media Relations
We started where every great story begins: with the press. Through an extensive PR campaign, we announced that over 2,500 Christmas markets across Germany would open starting November 10, 2025, turning cities like Nuremberg, Dresden, Cologne, and Stuttgart into fairytale destinations.
The campaign reached millions through national and lifestyle media outlets, morning shows, and travel publications. Each article highlighted Germany’s centuries-old traditions, regional diversity, and easy accessibility from Romania with over 150 direct weekly flights connecting 12 Romanian airports to 10 German cities.
Our storytelling focused on both emotion and information, blending cultural heritage with practical travel details: from must-visit markets to insider tips on when and how to experience them best. The result: unprecedented media coverage that placed Germany at the top of every traveler’s holiday wish list.
2. Outdoor Campaign
The magic wasn’t just online – it lit up Bucharest. Our team brought the “Visit Culture Land Germany” campaign to life on one of the most iconic outdoor screens in Romania – Cocor Media Channel, right in the heart of the capital.
For several weeks, the city center was illuminated by the captivating visuals from the campaign – a cinematic journey through Germany’s art, architecture, nature, and heritage. The video celebrated the country as a living museum of culture and creativity, inviting passers-by to explore its UNESCO sites, festivals, and historic cities.
This high-impact outdoor visibility ensured that Germany’s message reached not only travelers but also urban audiences and everyday commuters, inspiring them to visit a destination where culture thrives in every corner and every season.
3. Airport Activation.
The Christmas spirit took flight at Henri Coandă International Airport.





For two unforgettable days, we transformed the main hall of Bucharest’s airport into a mini German Christmas market, complete with a custom-designed stand, branded décor, live violin moments, and, of course, the irresistible scent of fresh gingerbread.
Our three hostesses greeted passengers with over 5,000 personalized gingerbread cookies and invited them to join our Berlin trip giveaway. The activation didn’t just turn heads – it created smiles, conversations, and memories, capturing the essence of what Germany’s holiday season is all about.
The experience merged sensory marketing with direct engagement, turning travelers into ambassadors of the campaign before their planes even took off.




4. Info Trips. The Experience Behind the Story
To complete the story, we invited Romanian journalists, travel agents, and influencers to experience the magic firsthand through a series of info trips across Germany’s most iconic markets.
From Nuremberg’s Christkindlesmarkt to Dresden’s Striezelmarkt and Cologne’s Cathedral Market, our guests explored the traditions, gastronomy, and sustainability practices that make Germany’s Christmas markets a global benchmark in festive tourism.
The result? Dozens of authentic stories, blog posts, reels, and press features that spread organically across Romania’s travel media and online communities – multiplying the reach of the campaign long after the trip ended.
